Takes at most 5 minutes for this to happen. Playing the multiplayer game always leads to a synchronization error of some sort, failing and stopping the match for everybody in the session with a following message: "You have been defeated".

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution (56400) And its a major issues for me, since playing the MP was the whole point of me wasting time to get it running with proton :(

Though the only problem I have now is that I get disconnected from any MP match I'm trying to play after a certain period of time (around 3-5 min). I got it resolved by installing d3dx9 via protontricks (winetricks).
